Corolar Release 6.12.0302.1 April 2013 Hotfix3

Description

Corolar Hotfixes are a collection of hotfixes for issues that have been identified within the Dapasoft Corolar product. Corolar Hotfixes are cumulative, however each hotfix describes only the fixes added since the previous Corolar Hotfix. Thus, prior Hotfix release notes should be reviewed for information regarding earlier published fixes.

Affected Components

The affected components section describes the Corolar components for which this particular hotfix applies.

Corolar Monitor Tool, Corolar Database

The hotfix addresses issues identified within the Corolar Monitor Tool and Corolar Database.

Fixes

Corolar Monitor dashboard is not synchronizing with BizTalk properly when interfaces are deleted and then re-created (either via importing bindings or created manually) with the same name.

Symptoms:

When interfaces are being deployed via Microsoft BizTalk deployment framework, the interfaces will become “out of sync” between BizTalk and Corolar Monitor, causing the Health status to be updated incorrectly.

Cause:

BizTalk has an internal “Interface ID” that identifies an interface. However, when using the MS BizTalk Deployment framework, the interface is actually deleted and then recreated. This causes BizTalk to use a new interface ID for the “redeployed” interface.

Solution:

Install Corolar Release 6.12.0302.1 Hotfix 3 for RTM.

A Corolar SQL Job “Dapasoft_Corolar_Monitor_Rebind_Interfaces” is available on the SQL server where the Corolar Database is installed. Run this job manually everytime interfaces have been deployed using the BizTalk deployment framework, or whenever you delete an interface and re-import the bindings to recreate those interfaces.

Corolar Monitor Message View/Edit/Resubmit sometimes truncate the message

Symptoms:

Under certain situations, when viewing logged Non HL7 messages under Corolar Monitor’s Message Management tab, the message is partially truncated.

Cause:

HTML page display reduces multiple spaces into one space, causing truncation of some parts of the message while not affecting the actual data of the logged message.

Solution:

Install Corolar Release 6.12.0302.1 Hotfix 3 for RTM

*Note: If the message has a very long line, (with or without lots of white spaces), the line may be forced to be wrapped. Otherwise, the message would still be in one line and the user will have to use the horizontal scroll bar.

Symptoms:

Under certain situations, editing a message before resubmitting partially truncates the message.

Cause:

The message being viewed contains non-printable characters. For example, null charcters (0x00), backspace (0x08), ESC (0x1B), etc. When the message is displayed, due to the non-printable characters, it may look truncated, or incorrect. When the user tries to resubmit the message, the message may have been resubmitted without the special characters.

Solution:

Install Corolar Release 6.12.0302.1 Hotfix 3 for RTM. Warning that the message contains non-printable characters and that the user will NOT be able to modify/edit the message will now be displayed by the Corolar Monitor. The message can be viewed but with a warning that it may not be displayed correctly. The message can still be resubmitted without modifications.

Corolar Monitor: Under message management, the scroll bar on the dialog box while viewing a message does not function correctly.

Symptoms:

Under Message Management tab, after searching for messages and clicking view, the user has to click on the textbox and use the down arrow key to scroll the message instead of using the scroll bar.

Cause:

A defect in HTML Schema implementation caused the scroll bar to not function correctly.

Solution:

Install Corolar Release 6.12.0302.1 Hotfix 3 for RTM
